If you love hiking and plan to visit Sedona, Arizona, the Devil’s Bridge hike just might be near the top of your list.
Thousands of people hike this iconic Sedona landmark every year, but NO ONE knows about this secret viewpoint of Devil’s Bridge.
So, if you’re getting sick of all the crowds, check out this amazing view. I can promise you: It’s totally worth it.
How many people visit Devil’s Bridge?
While there is no exact calculation for the number of people who visit Devil’s Bridge, it is a LOT.
Year round, up to hundreds of people per day trek to the bridge with hopes of getting that iconic photo.
I’m not going to lie, I was one of those people. And yes, I greatly enjoyed getting my picture on the bridge.
But, apart from this viewpoint, there is another secret view of the bridge that almost no one knows about.
How to get the secret Devil’s Bridge view
When you are close to the bridge, you will see this trail junction directing you to the right.
Naturally, most hikers go to the right. I mean, they’re just following the directions, right?
But you, my friend, can do something different. Instead, go to the left at the trail junction.
(If you are coming BACK from the bridge and want to get this view, go to the right when you see this.)
Now, all you need to do is continue on the trail. Although it is a bit overgrown, it is very short.
Soon, you will get this spectacular view of Devil’s Bridge.
If you look closely enough, you’ll probably even see people waiting in line for their photos!
While you’re here, now is also a great time to stop, take a break, and have some water and a snack.
Then, continue back to the main trail and enjoy the confusion on other hikers’ faces when they see where you just came from!
